Shapeless Screaming Bag Straight-up classic psych medal, the kind that gets back to the roots of the genre. Each track really speaks to how well this band works as a whole, and how much effort they put in to bring their talents to the fore to put out excellent, rhythmic sound. Favorite track: Magic Water.

We have a newcomer to the scene. The band is called Limestone Whale. They’re about to release their self titled EP on March 18th, 2014. The band describes the EP as:
The four songs cover a wide range of musical styles (70s/Doom/Psychedelic/Stoner) but yet are characterized by a consistent uniformity.
That sums it up in a nutshell. Getting the chance to hear the EP myself was quite an honor. I enjoyed it immensely. From the opening song “The Wizard” has that slow bluesy jam feel to it. “Magic Water” is a bit more doomy while keeping a more upbeat tempo. “White Flat” slows down the tempo and is closer to a doom song than the previous song. It’s a bit jammy at times all while keeping it bluesy.
